Danielle Burs drafts legislation and regulations for clients, and is a registered District of Columbia lobbyist. Danielle also assists employers by advising management on personnel matters, drafting and reviewing policy manuals, and providing guidance through the Employer Assistance Program.
Danielle came to GMP from serving as Legislative Director for Brianne Nadeau, the Ward One Representative on the Council of the District of Columbia. Her role there included drafting legislation, managing a broad legislative and policy portfolio, tracking capital projects, and working on the D.C. budget. Danielle was also Director of Policy at the Coalition For Non-Profit Housing and Economic Development, where she specialized in legislative and policy advocacy, board and coalition management, and best practices research. Danielle won a competitive post-graduate fellowship, and was named a Washington College of Law JD Distinguished Fellow at Manna, Inc. Her other experience includes real estate development, tax credit financing, nonprofit governance, and regulatory compliance.
Danielle is licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia and Maryland. She received her J.D. from American University’s Washington College of Law.
