Kevin Hilgers provides legal advice on matters regarding employment, business regulation, ethics, and campaign finance.
Kevin was previously Staff Attorney at the DC Appleseed Center for Law and Justice. There he managed and supported pro bono teams in conducting research, convening stakeholders, and engaging in advocacy and litigation to address systemic policy problems in the District of Columbia. Kevin’s portfolio included matters relating to local D.C. autonomy, health insurance, environment, and affordable housing. His prior legal experience also includes the D.C. Council’s Office of the General Counsel and Committee on Government Operations and the Environment. Before law school, Kevin was a journalist for The Current Newspapers and The Gazette of Prince George’s County.
Kevin is licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia and Maryland. He is a graduate of the University of Baltimore School of Law and holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and Russian from American University.
